As the Friends of the Library grows, so does our list of events and programs. After almost a year of renovations, the library is scheduled to re-open late January 2009 and more eents and programs will be scheduled. 
| Speakers SeriesThis wonderful series of events enable the community to hear and meet authors and people who can enrich and educate the audience’s lifestyles. Children meet with authors and participate in contests to allow them the opportunity to challenge their abilities. | 
| Children's Story Hour Five pre schools participate in story hour with reading for 30 minutes for each group. Books are selected from the library’s juvenile collection and enhance the curriculum of the preschool. Emphasis is put on age appropriate material and children are encouraged to return with their parent or guardian to obtain a library card. The story hour groups meet Thursday mornings at 9:30, 10, 10:30 and 11 during the school year. | 
| Busy HandsThis group of handi crafters has been meeting for over 17 years and welcomes anyone interested in learning how to sew, crochet or knit. The group also encourages talented persons to share their talents with the group. They meet every Wednesday morning at 10:30. | 
| Summer Reading ProgramSelf paced reading program open to all ages of children including …The Friends usually purchases most of the books that are recommended reading for the summe. |
